| The unique location of our family hotel offers numerous possibilities to discover the beauty of the nature sanctuary of Feldberg. Whether you are planning a family day-out to the lake “Feldsee” or you want to have a relaxed walk to the tower “Feldbergturm” – many gorgeous hikes and walk-trails await you. Furthermore designated nordic-walking-trails, countless bicycle paths and for extreme sports fans the mountainbike park Todtnau invite you to some sporty activity at the highest level. The Feldberg is with just less than 1500 m not only the highest point of the Black Forest but also the highest low mountain range in Germany. Known for their snow-prone winters, it is a favourite destination for ardent winter sports enthusiasts. In the year of 1891 the French Dr. Pilet climbed the Feldberg as the first human being with Nordic skies and in the neighbouring village of Todtnau the first German ski-club was founded. The “Feldberger Hof“ is located at 1300 m above sea-level, amongst the most beautiful nature. The skiing pleasure starts at a distance of around 100 m from the “Feldberger Hof”. By the way the “Feldberger Hof” is located in a very good neighbourhood! It borders directly with the sun-drenchend area of the “Kaiserstuhl”, the sunniest area of Germany and therefore a unique area for growing delicious wines.
