Our Owners & Management
Mr. Todt has been part of our house for many years – first as a seasonal employee, later as restaurant manager, then as guest relations manager, and today as operations manager. With great dedication and passion, he takes care of the well-being of our guests. Whether you have questions, suggestions, or words of praise – Mr. Todt always has a sympathetic ear and is happy to assist you at any time.

Founding Era (1864–1885)
Opening on June 24, 1864. From 1879 onwards, Carl Mayer and his sister Franziska (“Feldberg Mother”) shaped the house.
New Times (1885–1920)
With the new road and the rise of skiing, the tourism boom began. Expansions increased capacity to 300 beds, and the large dining hall as well as the Hebelstube were built.
Golden Years (1920–1936)
Ski lessons made the Feldberg famous. Albert Thoma, father of Olympic champion Georg Thoma, strongly influenced this era.
Times of Change (1936–1972)
New construction in modern architectural style. After the war, Veronika Wiedemann managed the hotel, later taken over by the Reich brothers.
Sporty Times (1972–1992)
Conversion into a sports hotel with underground parking, indoor pool, sauna, bowling alleys and more.
Innovative Times (1993–2015)
The Banhardt family brought fresh ideas: children’s paradise, wellness area, Happy’s Kinderland, new apartments and restaurants. 2014: Celebration of “150 Years Feldberger Hof.”
Fundorena & Anniversary (2016–2020)
Celebration of “125 Years of Skiing.” Opening of the 4,000 m² indoor sports arena “Fundorena.”
New Generation (since 2020)
Nathalie and Sebastian Banhardt joined the management and are shaping the future of the hotel. Since 2025, they have also been the owners of the Feldberger Hof.
Innovations (2022–today)
- 2022: Opening of the current pool “Strudelino.”
- 2023/24: Conversion of the winter garden into “Thommy’s 93” and opening of the Balinese-style “Devi SPA.”
