Status of compliance with requirements

The majority of the content pages on this website are largely compliant with the requirements of the Accessibility Enhancement Act (BFSG). The assessment was based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at conformance level AA.

For the standard content tested, automated tests and manual visual checks determined a compliance rate of approximately 97%. This figure does not apply to all areas of the website. In certain functional areas - in particular the pages for Booking, Enquiries, Vouchers, and Guest Reviews - the number of identified accessibility issues is significantly higher. These areas are being revised step by step to improve compliance.

The content listed below is not fully accessible for the following reasons.

Non-accessible content

Colour and contrast ratios:
1. Some text elements do not achieve the required minimum contrast ratio at all screen resolutions.
2. Due to corporate design requirements, these contrasts cannot be adjusted in all areas. To improve accessibility, the DigiAccess widget is available for individual adjustment.
3. Header image captions: Captions over the header image generally have good contrast. However, automated testing may not always determine sufficient contrast due to the lack of a uniform background colour. These areas are subjectively assessed and can be adjusted as needed using the DigiAccess contrast function.
4. Footer background image: A background image is used in the footer for design purposes. Despite good visual readability, a technical deviation from the defined contrast ratio is detected here. There is no perceptible restriction; if necessary, the DigiAccess widget can also be used here.

Multimedia content:
5. Some embedded videos do not have subtitles or audio descriptions.
6. This will be taken into account for future productions; existing videos cannot currently be retrofitted.

External integrations and widgets:
7. The messenger integrated on the website for customer communication has a structural issue with the “main&#8221 landmark role.
8. Some page elements of the messenger used for guest communication are not fully embedded in landmark roles.
9. On the Guest Reviews page, the integration of external review widgets (from different providers) results in accessibility issues that we can only partially or not at all resolve.

PDF documents:
10. Some of the PDF files provided are not fully accessible.
11. The accessibility of these documents will be improved during updates, and new PDFs will be created to be accessible wherever possible.

Alternative texts and link labels:
12. Some links (e.g. social media icons) are not sufficiently labelled for screen readers.
13. In some cases, alternative texts are missing for decorative or embedded images.

Semantic structure and heading hierarchy:
14. The sequence of heading levels does not meet semantic requirements in all areas (e.g. jumps from h2 to h4).
