At Feldberger Hof, family holidays and eco-friendliness go hand in hand. Since 2007, we have been actively committed to sustainable tourism and are continuously making our hotel operations more environmentally friendly. With our intelligent building management system, heat recovery systems and the use of 100% green electricity, we have already significantly reduced our energy consumption. We source regional products, rely on short delivery routes and offer our guests free use of public transport with the KONUS Card. As a certified ClimatePartner, we stand for climate-friendly tourism and have our measures regularly audited. At the same time, quality seals such as “O.K. for Kids” or “ServiceQualität Baden-Württemberg” guarantee the highest standards. Because for us, sustainability in hotel operations is not just a trend, but a matter close to our hearts.
Sustainability at Feldberger Hof
For us, sustainability is not a trend, but a responsibility. Our young guests are the parents of tomorrow – they should be able to enjoy nature just as we do today. That is why we are wholeheartedly committed to a future worth living. Our hotel is located in the midst of the beautiful nature of the Black Forest. Whenever possible, children play and explore outdoors – complemented by exciting nature experience programs for the whole family. We go beyond legal standards: energy efficiency, regional food, responsible business partners, waste prevention, and nature conservation are part of our everyday life.
As part of the Familotel cooperation, we carry the sustainability seal, which sets the highest standards for the environment, social issues, and the economy. More than 300 test criteria cover topics such as energy, food, recycling, and social responsibility. We also regularly set ourselves new goals, such as increasing our use of organic food.

Since 2007, we have been committed to sustainability at Feldberger Hof and are proud to be considered pioneers in environmental protection. Together with ClimatePartner, we undergo regular certification and actively support international climate protection projects.
Through innovative renovations, such as our woodchip-powered combined heat and power plant, we save over 600 tonnes of CO₂ and 300,000 litres of heating oil every year. Even your journey here is climate-friendly: Our guests use local buses and trains free of charge.
Our commitment has been recognised with the Familotel Sustainability Seal - an incentive to continue taking responsibility for the future. After all, our little guests are the parents and hosts of tomorrow. We want to preserve a liveable environment for them.
